Our Team
Cara Sukumaran- Practice Owner and Senior Speech Pathologist
Cara is a certified practising speech pathologist with 12 years of experience working with children and young adults across private and public settings. After growing up overseas, her career has taken her throughout South Australia and remote areas of the Northern Territory and Queensland.
This diverse background has given Cara a deep appreciation for working with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. She's passionate about culturally responsive practice and values learning from the families she works with.
Beyond clinical work, Cara's experience includes management roles overseeing multidisciplinary teams (speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, allied health assistants, and administrative staff), as well as mentoring new graduate speech pathologists through clinical supervision. These experiences have deepened her commitment to high-quality, evidence-based practice across the profession.
Cara specialises in both in-person and online therapy, bringing accessible, quality speech pathology services to families wherever they are.
Outside the clinic, you can find her with family or in the garden—her happy places!
